Our Story
It started with a $2.78 tube of caulk
One of Ben’s companies was hired by a real estate agent to complete a costly home repair discovered during the inspection that threatened to delay the deal. Realizing this $5,000 repair could have been prevented with a $3 tube of caulk, Ben recognized the opportunity to better connect agents, vendors and homeowners to get things done. He shared the story with Joby, Steve and Justin and the idea of AdventAgent was born.
We believe agents can rise up as ambassadors of their communities and create a 3-way-win by partnering with vendors and homeowners. We believe success comes from the power of building long-term relationships and sharing the wealth we create together.
Co-Founders

Joby Slay
Joby has an expansive real estate career spanning over 25 years. He’s been a partner in numerous real estate ventures, owned a mortgage company and was an executive for one of the largest real estate companies in the world. He was recently recognized as one of the top agent recruiters in Keller Williams Realty International. Joby is the author of “GET MORE”” a book on leadership and coaching and holds an MBA in Real Estate Development.

Ben Vanderploeg
Ben was a founding member at magicJack – a voice-over IP telecommunications disruptor providing unlimited calls to the US and Canada for less than $20 per year. He’s built and managed sales, support, and development teams internationally. Ben has founded and owns two companies in the home services industry .

Steve Riniker
Steve has over 20 years of extensive real estate, financial management, and sales experience. He is a partner and director of a real estate company in Palm Beach County, Florida and a former Vice President and Private Banker where he worked for some of the largest banks in the U.S. Steve is a founding partner of two companies, a licensed Florida real estate agent and a member of the National Association of Realtors.

Justin Crout
Justin is a marketing executive, consultant and brand expert with Fortune 500 experience at Newell Brands, Philips, Quest Diagnostics and PwC. Justin was most recently brand lead for Mr. Coffee and recently launched Mr. Coffee Iced, the corporation’s most successful new product in 2020 and Google’s #1 rated new item for the holidays. Justin holds an MBA and engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
